A screen printed film poster commissioned Alamo Drafthouse‘s collectible art boutique, Mondo. It’s for Room 237 – a documentary film that explores themes and hidden meanings in Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining. As a fan of The Shining and of far-fetched conspiracy theories, it’s a compelling watch.
For this poster I thought it would be fun to weave some of the themes of the film into the artwork in a way that reflected the essence of the documentary. There’s a dozen or so disguised symbols in the artwork. Some more obvious than others.
It is a 5 colour screen print measuring 24 x 18 in and on 300gsm stock. The edition sold by Mondo was 175 and those were hand numbered but not signed. The edition is SOLD OUT but I have some signed APs available in the shop.Go To Shop
