Threadless is, in essence, an ongoing design competition which accepts design submissions from anyone. Submitted designs are scored by users and the most viable designs are selected for print. It’s just a great company run by some of the coolest people I know.

I love the challenges involved in designing for t-shirts. It can be difficult to condense a narrative or an idea in to a single image and especially one that people will be prepared to wear! That’s before any technical considerations and limitations like only having 5 silk screen colours to use. I haven’t stopped learning since I began submitting designs to Threadless in 2006.
